i have just realized that i haven't updated this journal in a little over a year now. i guess part of the reason is that i have not felt the need to discuss anything publicly in months, or that i have had a lot of highly or completely personal things to deal with that would not have been suited for deviantart.

in any case, i am just now finishing my freshman year of college at nyu, and i am getting ready to go back home for the summer. i will miss new york and its people, there is no place like this when it comes to people watching and self-expressing.

i have been dabbling with gender and sexuality studies, which has proved to be enlightening and eye-opening and to teach me thing about myself that i had no idea existed. i guess college proved useful after all, didn't it?

i have rethought my social persona and the way i made friends in the past and have gotten to the core of what used to make me unhappy. which is not to say everything is peaches, but i have a lot more confidence and self-esteem, which makes life so much easier now.

DA is unfortunately of no interest to me anymore, which is why i have been absent from it for many months. i guess we all grow in different directions and become different people, who disregard the past they no longer have a need for.
